~Brian & Heather - Lighthouse Point Park, New Haven, CT. - CT Wedding Photographer~

Brian & Heather are an incredible couple with an incredible story!  When they told me about their first date I just knew I had to share it!

"Our first date is a funny story, we had been corresponding over the phone for a few weeks and then we decided to meet for the first time at a restaurant half way between where we lived to grab a drink. I pulled into the unfamiliar place slightly nervous and received a text that he just parked. I looked over at the car next to me that pulled in and watched a guy get out. So trying to get over my nerves I got out of my car and introduced myself and asked if he wanted to go in. When we sat at the table I quickly felt like I had once again been set up on a disaster date as my date wouldn't make eye contact and looked extremely uncomfortable. To break the ice I asked how the gym was, since Brian had told me that's where he was coming from. My date gave me a strange look and said he doesn't go to the gym. It was at that moment I realized I had gone on the wrong date, so I quickly left. When I exited I checked my phone to see Brian was texting me wondering where I was, I then saw my true date emerge from his car. I couldn't stop laughing as he approached me and it seemed like my predate was the perfect ice breaker for my real date. My awkward predate didn't scare him off and the rest is history"

Is that not the best story!

I love learning the story about the couples I photograph, things like Brian proposed in Milan (how romantic is that?), the best date they had was a walk outside on a rainy Christmas Eve, and that Brian writes thoughtful little Valentine's on sticky notes.

SWOON!

Brain & Heather are getting married July 2017 and I can't wait!  Just like Heather I am excited about Brian seeing her as she walks down the aisle (I hope he cries, I love it when my grooms cry).  Take a look at the other images from their engagement session at Lighthouse Point Park and bask in the love between these two.

~Orrin & Emily - Nathan Lester House, Gales Ferry, CT. - CT Wedding Photographer~

I recently photographed Orrin & Emily at The Nathan Lester House in Gales Ferry, CT. This soon-to-be wedded couple will be getting married on March 31st. I am definitely looking for to photographing the wedding next year.  Just look at that puppy!

Orrin and Emily met their junior year of high school when they were both on the track team.  They got engaged in February when Orrin popped the question as they began sailing away on a cruise to the Bahamas. Isn't that the sweetest?

The wedding will be at the Publik House in Sturbridge MA.

I know it's going to be a gorgeous wedding!

Future wedding details aside, let's get to the present: Orrin & Emily's engagement session! These two are real naturals in front of the camera. Their good looks, fabulous outfit choices, a sublime location and their genuine love for each other made this photo shoot a truly enjoyable experience!

Here's to many, many happy years together!

~Franklin & Lexi - Providence, RI. - RI Wedding Photographer~

Congratulations Franklin & Lexi!

Franklin & Lexi chose to have a First Look before they said I Do.  It was important to them that the first time they saw each other was a private moment between just the two of them.

Franklin & Lexi had one of the most unique weddings I have ever shot.  Instead of Bridesmaids and Groomsmen they had Team Lexi and Team Franklin, with a mix of men and women on both sides.  They were such a fun group to work with.

The wedding and reception were held at the CAV Restaurant in Providence, RI.  This place was amazing. It had such an incredible vibe that fit their style.  And to top it off Lexi's 19 year old niece surprised them by getting ordained to perform the ceremony!  How wonderful to be joined in marriage by someone who knows and loves you as well as a family member!

“It was amazing, perfect and most importantly, I felt like it was uniquely us.” says Lexi.

Wish you could have been there, too, blog readers! At least you can live through the pictures!

~Jose & Sara - Ledyard, CT - CT Wedding Photographer~

This is a very special couple for me. And deserved a very special location.

This is my daughter Sara and her fiance Jose. They haven't know each other long but when you know, you know.

We have had a short time to get to know Jose, but it is clear he loves my daughter dearly.  I couldn't have asked for a better son-in-law.

I loved being to create these memories for my daughter, however her wedding will be a different story.  I will enjoy the day and let a friend and fellow photographer take this job from me.

~Mike & Katie - St Pius Church, Westerly - RI Wedding Photographer~

I've got another stunning wedding to show! The gorgeous couple consists of Mike & Katie, two people that anyone would love to know.

Their wedding day was truly breathtaking. It was a beautiful Catholic wedding at St Pius Church in Westerly RI, in one of the prettiest churches I have ever seen.

The bride's dress was seriously gorgeous, too. And I'm not just saying that!

We had a lot of fun taking wedding pictures, as well. They decided to not see each other until Katie was walking down the aisle. However they did want a moment to pray with each other before the ceremony!

Okay, let's get to the pictures! Mike & Katie were such a delight to work with and I wish them many wonderful years to come.

~Brian & Debbie - Engagement - CT Wedding Photographer~

Let's all give it up for one of the happiest couples I’ve ever seen: Brian & Debbie

My job was so easy with these two, hardly any direction was needed as they couldn't stop looking at, smiling, and kissing one another.

Their wedding date is set for October 14th, 2017.  They're excited to spend the rest of their lives together. It's so clear that this couple is head-over-heels for each other!

Just check out the pictures if you don't believe me!

~Josh & Kayla - Meadowbrook Inn, Charlestown, RI. - RI Wedding Photographer~

Josh & Kayla were such an adorable couple.  Kayla is such a little thing that reminded me of Miranda Lambert.  I love the connection between her and her dad walking down the aisle.

The color of the bridesmaids dresses are a photographers dream, so bright and pretty.  They coordinated beutifully with the grey suits the guys were wearing.

Every so often you get an image that just makes such an impact.  This image below is one of those images.  The bride's parents, the groom's parents and the newlyweds will surely be an image this couple will cherish.

As we were finishing up the formal images I noticed this beautiful classic Mustang (my favorite car ever) sitting in the parking lot.  I had to ask about using it for photos and was overjoyed when they told me that was why they brought it!

~The Mermaid Life - CT Professional Photographer~

Doesn't every girl dream of being a mermaid?  From those of us old enough to remember Daryl Hannah in Splash, to those little mermaids singing about whosits and whatsits and thingamabobs.

When I put out a call for someone to be transformed into a mermaid Aimee jumped at the chance.  Playing dress up is always fun no matter your age, and Aimee rocked her mermaid session.

~Ashlee & Nicole - Misquamicut Beach - RI Wedding Photographer~

I have known Nicole since since she was a baby, so when she asked me about photographing her wedding there was no question that I would do it!  I had already photographed both her sisters' weddings and it was an honor to shoot hers as well.

I met Ashlee the first time when Nicole's sister Amanda married, and it was clear from the start how in love her and Nicole were.

It was a beautiful September wedding on the beach at Misquamicut in Rhode Island.  Every detail was perfect, from the flowers (created by the amazing Heather of Creative Collections by Lily & Co.) right down to the rainbow wedding cake!

Congratulations Ashlee & Nicole, I can't wait to share more of your life story through the years!
